Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade
The process of upgrading an item, often called "upping," improves an item's stats. Each upgrade increment boosts a stat linearly.
Players can recycle six items at one time to gain a gauge for the upgraded component of each item. The cost of recycling items scales according to their rarity and level.
Upgrade components

A level upgrade in Guild Wars 2 is a procedure that can improve the power of your weapon and armor. This can be accomplished by a number of means that include using upgrade components as well as upgrading an item's mark level or rarity. A lot of items can be reforged to increase their stats.
Upgradeable items can be found all over the game, both around the world and as rewards for missions. They can also be made by players. Upgrade components are the primary method to upgrade equipment. These are the items that slot into equipment. The majority of equipment comes with upgrade slots, and many require a certain upgrade level. Certain upgrade components offer specific bonuses, while other components offer general bonuses.
There are a variety of upgrade elements in the game, such as universal upgrades, inscriptions, and jewels. Universal upgrades, like gemstones and enchantments, can be used in any kind of equipment and provide smaller bonuses than those that are equipment type specific. Glyphs are only available in gathering tools. They provide a variety bonuses, ranging from boosting the speed of an item's gathering to supplying additional crafting materials.
To upgrade an item, simply select it in your inventory, then open the Upgrade window. The preview will be displayed on the right-hand side of the screen. It will show the expected stats following the upgrade. If you don't possess enough of either the upgrade button will show as Blocked.
The upper-right side of the screen shows the amount of upgrade components required for a particular item. The cost of upgrading increases depending on the upgrade level and rarity, however it can be reduced through many different methods, such as buying upgrades at a merchant or trading them to other players.
Most weapons can be improved by a prefix like a rune or an insignia, and others can be improved with an suffix. These upgrades can be used to add an adjective to the name of the item like "Radiant" or "Minor Vigor".
Glyphs
Glyphs are a powerful tool for communicating visual information. They move to catch the attention of the viewers and trigger curiosity in the brain. The animation of glyphs mimics body language, which makes them more effective in conveying a message across linguistic barriers. Glyphs can also trigger a feeling of familiarity in the brain, thereby increasing retention of the message.
Each glyph has a set of values that it could enhance a stat, as shown on the item when you open the glyph in the Glyph Storage or when you use them to enchant an artifact. This range is the maximum value that a glyph could enhance a stat by but not the amount it will actually increase the stat by. The actual value of the glyph is determined by the tier and quality of the item you are enchanting it to.
The majority of upgrade components that are installed into items cannot be removed or replaced without removing them, with the exception of legendary upgrades and equipment. If, however, you have a non-useful rune or glyph that hasn't yet been applied to your equipment, you can transfer it to a different piece of gear by using the Upgrade Glyphs context menu within the Glyphs panel. This will create the new Glyph Set with the selected glyph.
You can remove the glyph using a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or an Ascended Salvage tool. The item on which the glyph is located will be destroyed, but the upgraded item can be salvaged using the glyph shards.
A glyph added to an item could cause it to become unstable and the shards that are left of that glyph will disappear from your inventory when you remove the item. You can also add an inscription on your equipment to provide an additional benefit. Deferred Damage, for example can be used to store damage and then be dealt slowly to the wearer rather than all at one time. This is helpful for players who suffer many hits from enemies, but do not want to be overwhelmed.
Reroll tokens
Reroll tokens can be used to alter the affixes on equipment and weapons. They can be obtained from many sources, including mysterious boxes or rare drops from skulled monsters, or by killing bosses. item upgrades gives the player a brand new random affix, which is typically superior to the one they had before. Reroll tokens can be used to boost weapon stats to cause more damage or bonuses.
Rerolled items do not appear on the menu for upgrade options, however they are still able to be upgraded. By pressing the "upgrade button" you can recycle these recycled items. This will change the design of the item's window, and allow up to six items to be selected for recycling. The level gauge is increased by recycling an item. This amount is determined by the rarity of the item and its own level, so items with higher levels are more useful to recycle than lower-level ones.
In addition to tokens for rerolls players can also use Star Remnants and Reroll Tokens to roll the Weapon Traits of an upgraded unit. Rerolls are based on a % chance for a weapon's trait. If it is higher, the weapon is upgraded. If it is lower the weapon is left as it was. Weapons can be repeatedly rolled up to three times.
Rerolling is item upgrader to improve an item. However, players should be aware that the total ilvl is reduced by the number the rerolls required to bring it to the final ilvl. This is evident on rings and Diadems, as they have no other options to increase the ilvl.
The Reroll system has been criticized by players as being too expensive, and it would be more equitable to let players pay for it using money or a food item that allows players to modify their build without a lot of time and effort. However paying for rerolls is not something that the developers would like to implement at this point in the game's development. Instead, they're planning include an option to change the race in the near future.
Leveling
There are a variety of ways to level up an upgrade to an item. The most effective method to level up an item upgrade is by increasing the amount of upgrade. This boosts the upgrade value for the stat. The second option is to boost the effect of the upgrade, which can increase damage or healing for an individual stat. In addition there is the possibility to upgrade the base item to an upgrade type. The upgraded item will maintain its iLevel, but will have the upgraded effects of the upgraded item.
When you upgrade items It is crucial to keep in mind that upgrades aren't always planned. In the majority of cases, a better roll will result from glyphs, but there are also chances for higher or more special rolls. The type of item will determine the iLevel. If you upgrade a unique or rare item to a specific item type, it is likely to getting a higher level.
Upgrades can be expensive particularly if you are upgrading equipment from the standard track to the legendary. The cost of upgrading an item will depend on the base iLevel and the amount of upgrade levels. Some upgrade tracks also require crests to reach the next level.
If you're fortunate the upgraded item could get to the top of its upgrade track, and thus unlock an additional effect. This will provide a significant increase in the value of the item. The bonus effect will change with each upgrade level. In general, the upgrade effect is increased a value of +3.
Depending on the item's base level and its upgrade process, the iLevel for the upgraded item will also change. For example, a weapon that is upgraded from a rare or exclusive item to an exceptional item will have a chance to get the enhanced defense of the new base type of item.
